Interface Layout
Get to know the screen layout for Event Floorplan Designer, because knowing where things are will make it much easier when using the help pages.
1. FILE Menu - This menu gives you access to most of your file-management commands, opening, saving, printing etc.
2. Quick Access Toolbar - Frequently used commands for things such as save, undo etc are placed here for easy access.
3. Customisable Toolbar - This toolbar is fully customisable and you can also have multiple Customisable Toolbars.
4. Ribbon Menu - This is where all of the main functions for EFD can be found. This ribbon also changes depending on what you have selected so, if you have a stand selected, the most used functions for amending stands appears.
5. System Toolbar - The system toolbar allows quick access to commonly used general functions such as zooming, refresh, help etc.
6. Properties Explorer - The Properties Explorer is more for advanced users and is used to change settings and item properties in more detail for certain entities.
7. Status Bar - This gives you access to Layer, colour and line style settings as well as selecting, managing and creating Views. It also displays the current view, sheet size, scale and Units. If you click on the wording for each item, it will take you to the settings for it.
8. Command Window - This area gives you information or tells you what you can do while using a function e.g. if you start to draw a Rectangular Stand, it asks you to give the first corner or press [3] to create a 3 point rectangular stand instead.
9. Drawing Tab - If you have multiple drawings open, these tabs let you switch between the different drawings.
10. Stand List - This list is used to search or filter stands to meet your requirements. When you have found the stand(s) you want, click on it in the list and you will be instantly zoomed to the stand on your drawing.
11. Sheet Border - Imagine this border as the piece of paper you want to print on. Use this to adjust your floorplan accordingly so it fits on the paper size you require when printed.
