Panning

Panning ('Pan' for short) is used to move your drawing on-screen, a bit like dragging a piece of paper around on your desk.

Panning Options

1

Using the Wheel or Centre button on your Mouse is the most efficient way to Pan.

Not all mice allow you to click the wheel or have a centre button, but if they do, click and hold the wheel/button while dragging your mouse around to navigate your drawing.

2

If you don't have a wheel or centre button on your mouse, you can initiate the Pan command from either ZOOM menu or the System Tool bar (located in the top right of the screen), both of which are highlighted below.

NOTE: When you have finished using this function you need to press your ESC (Escape) key on your keyboard to cancel the function.

3

Scroll Bars - This is the least efficient way of moving your drawing around due to only being able to move one axis at a time.
