Insert Text

The Insert Text function allows you to add text any where on the floor plan, this could be for the Show Name and Date or to mark the Entrance of a Theatre for example. 

Inserting Text

Click on the 'Insert Text' button  which is located on the INSERT ribbon. The dialog box pictured below will then appear.

Start typing your text in the top White box, then click OK to place your text on the drawing by moving your mouse to the position you want then clicking your mouse button. You may then need help with formatting your text.

TIP 1 : Use the Check Spelling function to check spelling.

TIP 2 : If you need a special character such as a ² or ® for example, just click on the relevant button in the Insert Special Character section.

TIP 3 : Text such as Show name, dates, issue number etc can be added to the text box by using the 'Select Property' drop down box, provided the information has been added to 'Drawing Properties'. When one of these properties is added to your floorplan, it automatically updates with the correct information.

TIP 4 : If there is some text that you would like to use all the time, you can add this to the Presets box, if you cannot see the presets box, click the Presets button. To add a preset, click the Add button, type the text you want then click OK, the text will now appear in the presets box. To move the text from your presets box to the main text box, just drag and drop it. The Preset text you add will be available on all of your floorplans.
