Grid Settings
Using the Grid is a great visual aid when positioning things on your floorplan because you can see at a glance how much empty space there is such as in-between stands. You can also snap objects to the grid which keeps everything perfectly aligned.
The Grid is shown as either Light Grey lines or dots, the below example shows it as lines:

The settings shown below are recommended for most floorplans but you can change them as required.
Options
Grid Type - This is the type of grid you want shown, you can either show Lines or Dots.
Grid On - Enable this so the Grid can be seen on-screen. You can also enable/disable the grid by clicking on the button which is located on your System Toolbar in the top right of your screen.
Grid Snap On - Enable this so that your mouse cursor snaps to the grid points (see Snap Grid below)
Isometric Grid - The Isometric grid shows a grid that is at a 30 degree angle. This is useful for drawing Isometric drawings but will only be used by advanced users.
Visible Grid
X Space - This is the spacing shown between each line/dot horizontally.
Y Space - This is the spacing shown between each line/dot vertically.
NOTE: The Visible Grid is not printable or exportable to a PDF etc, if you want to be able to print/export the grid please click here.
Snap Grid
X Space - This is the spacing that your mouse will snap to.
Y Space - This is the spacing that your mouse will snap to.
NOTE: We recommend keeping the Snap Grid spacing either the same as your Visible Grid spacing or increments that divide into your Visible Grid spacing e.g if your visible grid is set to 1, set this spacing to 0.5, 0.2 or 0.1 otherwise you may get undesired results when using the grid.
