Create Plan Types and Stand Types
Plan Types and Stand Types are used to categorise stands so they can not only be colour coded easily, but also be used to obtain detailed stand figures (M² / ft²). For more information click here.
Creating Plan Types and Stand Types
1
Click the 'Exhibition Properties' button which is located on the SETTINGS ribbon.
2
The Exhibition Properties dialog will now appear as shown below. Now click on the Plan Types tab and then the Add button.
TIP: If you want to download and use some pre-made Plan Types, or if you have a floorplan that has Plan Types already configured to how you want, you can import those using the Import Plan Types function.
3
The Add Plan Type dialog will now appear as shown below. Give your Plan Type a name, in the example below I have named it 'Sales Plan'.
4
Now you need to add a Stand Type. Click on the Add button as shown below and a new entry will appear in the list for you to start typing a name. To add more Stand Types just click on the Add button again.
In the example below I have created stand types called 'Unavailable' 'Sold' and 'Reserved' but, you can call them whatever you like.
The options available for each stand type are as follows:
Name : The name of your Stand Type.
Fill : This sets the colour of your Stand Type which in-turn will be the colour of your stand. To change the colour click on the little colour box to access the various fill/colour options.
Default : This sets the Default stand type for newly created stands.
Show Fill : This option determines whether the Fill/colour is shown for this particular stand type. This option can also be set per-view so, for example you could create a view that shows all the stand colours apart from the Sold stand colour
Show Stand Name : This option determines whether the Company Name on a stand is shown for this particular stand type. This option can also be set per-view so, for example you could create a view that shows all the stand names apart from the reserved stands.
Build Type : The Build Type can be set to Octanorm, Sodem etc and is used to calculate the Shell Scheme Components using the Shell Scheme Component calculation function. NOTE: If this is not showing in your list but you need it, please contact us to enable it for you.

When you have finished adding your Plan Types and Stand Types, click OK at the bottom of the above dialog and then click Close on the Exhibition Properties Dialog. You can now edit your stands and set the relevant stand types.
TIP: Now you have setup your Stand Types, these can be edited directly from the Stand Details dialog (see picture below) instead of going to SETTINGS > Exhibition Properties > Plan Types, saving you some time.
Click on the Blue Pencil Icon highlighted below to edit Stand Types directly from the Stand Details dialog.
NOTE: If you need to create a new Plan Type, you will have to repeat the above steps because they cannot be added from the Stand Details dialog.
