Visual Settings

The Visual Settings are where you set the default Text sizes and other options for your floorplan, these settings are saved per drawing.

There are currently 5 Tabs in Visual Settings, all of which are described below.

Visual Settings

STANDS

Text Properties:

In this section you can set your default text properties. The values for height etc are based on your drawing units, e.g. in the example above the heights are in Metres.

Number - Change the default position, Height, Bold, Italic and Font

Company - Change the default position, Height, Bold, Italic and Font. You can also set the vertical offset for this text so, using a negative value would lower the company name text on your stand.

Area - Change the default position, Height, Bold, Italic and Font. You can also specify whether the units are shown i.e. and ft².

Stand Dimensions - Change the default position, Height, Bold, Italic and Font. You can also show dimensions to 5 Decimal Places i.e. 4.12345. This is useful if you need to show more accuracy on your stand dimensions.

NOTE: If the 5 Decimal places is enabled, only dimensions that need 5 decimal places will be shown in 5 decimal places, all other dimensions will be shown in the usual amount of decimal places.

Round Dimensions & Areas based on a Custom Stand Build Grid (Advanced) - If you are using a custom Stand Build Grid which is not an even size, you can use this option to round the dimensions to something that looks more visually pleasing. For more information on this function click here.

Text Offsets from Stand Edges:

These values set the distance of the stand text to the edge of the stand.

Stand Text - Sets the distance of the Number, Name and Area to the edge of the stand, e.g. in the example above, the text is 0.12m away from the stand edge.

Dimensions - Sets the distance of the perimeter stand Dimensions to the edge of the stand, e.g. in the example above, the dimensions are 0.38m away from the stand edge.

Stand Outlines:

Show Open Sides - This option determines whether stand open sides are shown on-screen or not. NOTE: The stand open sides need to be calculated using the Calculate Open Sides function before they show on-screen.

TIP: This setting can also be set per View so you could have open sides showing on the technical plan but switched off on the sales plan.

Show Lines & Arrows - Tick this if you want lines and arrows shown on your gangway dimensions as shown below. You can also set whether these are shown per View by editing your View.

Arrow Length - This sets the length/size of the arrows.

GENERAL

Stand & Zone Transparency Options:

The options in here determine how transparent the solid fills for stands and zones appear on-screen only.

When your floorplan is exported to PDF, DWG etc, these options are ignored. The reason for this transparency is so that when manipulating stands/zones on-screen, you can see entities underneath them such as service ducts, pillars etc.

Switch On/Off - This turns Transparency on and off. NOTE: If this switch is turned off, it will turn back on again automatically after closing the drawing and the re-opening the drawing.

Opacity % - This adjusts the amount of Opacity (the opposite of Transparency) to suit your needs. NOTE: This setting is saved in the drawing and will be remembered when you next open the drawing.

TIP: If you don't need the stand or zones to be transparent for a particular drawing, you can set the Opacity to 100% and it will remember that setting next time you open the drawing.
