Drawing Floor Loading Areas

When Intelligent Floor Loadings are added to your floorplan it allows the Inspect Floorplan tool to detect whether stands with a heavier weight loading are positioned within them or not.

Not only this but the stand weights are also exported to the exhibitor list spreadsheet along with any conflicts.

Note:

Please check in our Venue Downloads section that we do not already have a drawing with intelligence already available, or contact us because not all of the drawings we have are available for download yet.

Floor Loadings should only be made intelligent on Venue drawings which are inserted using the Insert Venue function and not your actual floorplan, however if you have inserted a venue drawing without using the Insert Venue function then please carry on.

Drawing Intelligent Floor Loadings

1

Zoom into the area where you need to add the intelligent Floor Loading. Shown as an Orange hatch in this example.

2

Select the 'Draw Floor Loadings' (top half of button) which is located on the VENUE ribbon.

3

The following box will now appear for you to type in the Loading weight in kg per m², this should match the figure on your floorplan or provided by the venue. Note that weights may be provided in Tonnes per m² so you will need to convert this figure to kgs.

Now click OK.

4

Now draw around the area so you end up with a highlighted area in Green as shown below.

Tip: You can also use the Create Intelligent Floor Loading from a Polyline function if the areas that exist on your plan are made from polylines, this will speed up the process and save you drawing the areas manually.

The Floor Loading area is now intelligent! Any stands that overlap the Green detection area will now be highlighted to you in the Inspect Floorplan tool.
