To change the Orientation of the Border, you need to use the Properties Explorer which should be located on the right hand side of your screen. If you cannot see the Properties Explorer, see here on how to switch it back on.

Now select the border by clicking on the border line or its name in the bottom left. Once selected, the Border will have a Dashed line as shown below.
If you cannot select the border it might be on a locked layer so, to quickly unlock it, hover over the border until a Yellow Info box appears, then press 'U' on your keyboard to unlock the layer it is on.

With the Border selected, change the Orientation of the Border using the Properties Explorer as shown below. You can also change other options here as well if required.
