View Borders

Linking View Borders to Views is very important for making sure that when views are exported to a PDF, they fit the page correctly.

If you haven't created a View Border yet we recommend doing that now by following these instructions, but you can also create one from the View as explained below.

Linking View Borders to Views

1

Click on the 'Manage Views' button which is located on the HOME menu ribbon.

2

The Manage Views dialog box will now appear showing a list of the views you have created.

Select the View you want to edit the View Border for and click the Edit button or, double-click on the View.
NOTE: You can also select multiple Views at the same time but you can only select a View Border, you cannot create one as explained further down.

3

The Edit View dialog will now appear as shown below. The Link to View Border is highlighted in Red.

Select the Border you would like to link to the View.

If there are no Borders to select because you haven't created one yet, go to step 4.

4

If there are no border to select from or the selector is set to 'No Link', a + button will be available to click which will create a Border for you.

When you click on this button it creates a border based on the position of your floorplan on-screen, so it may not be exactly what you want. It also puts a new Border name in the list so you can go back to your floorplan and edit that Border as required.
