Drawing Gangway Carpet

Use this function to calculate the square meterage of Gangway carpet on your floorplan.

Draw a Zone

1

Click the 'Gangway Carpet' button (top part of button) which is located on the DRAW ribbon menu.

2

The Gangway Carpet Properties box will now pop up (see below image).

In the Name field, 'Gangway Carpet' will be added for you automatically but you can change this as required, in this case I have changed it to 'Green Gangway Carpet'.

Click on the Colour box to select a colour for the carpet, or you can move your mouse cursor to a colour anywhere on your screen, hold it there and then press CTRL + 1 to grab the colour. In this case I have just selected Green.

If you don't want the carpet name shown on-screen, untick the 'Show Name' option.

If you don't want the square meterage of the carpet shown on-screen, untick the 'Show Area' option.

Once you are happy with your options, click OK.

TIP: You can edit these options later by double-clicking on the Gangway Carpet or going to DRAW > Gangway Carpet (bottom part of button) > Edit Gangway Carpets.

TIP: If you draw 2 or more Gangway Carpets with exactly the same name, you can amalgamate the square meterage of these. You can access this setting in Exhibition Properties.

Now all you need to do is draw your Gangway Carpet. You do not have to draw in between stands, they can be encompassed within the area because when you calculate the square meterage, it minuses the stand areas automatically.

Once you've finished drawing the carpet it will look like the below. You will notice that the carpet is covering the stands, so just click the refresh in the top right of your screen and it will show correctly as shown in the picture on the right.

After clicking refresh your carpet should look like the below. You will also notice that I have moved the name of the carpet and also the SQM figure in the bottom right to neaten it up.
