Change the shape of a Stand

In the instructions below we will change a Square stand into a Triangle shaped stand to keep things simple.

Changing the shape of a Stand

1

Select the stand you would like to change the shape of, you should then see Red or Blue nodes in the corners of the Stand as shown in the images below.

The nodes need to be Blue to change the shape of a stand, so to toggle/swap between Red and Blue nodes, press SPACE BAR on your keyboard.

2

Before the next step, we recommend that you turn the Grid ON to make it easier for you to adjust the shape of your Stand.

If you have not used the Grid before, please read this page carefully then come back to thtis page once you have turned your Grid ON.

3

Now simply click on one of the Blue nodes to move it to a new position.

In the example below I have moved the top right Blue node onto the bottom right Blue node, leaving me with a triangular Stand.

When you place a Blue node on top of another Blue node, one of the nodes gets deleted.

If you want to create more complex shapes, you can add extra Nodes to a Stand boundary, or in some cases it may be quicker to create an irregular shaped Stand from scratch.

4

In my example above you can see the Stand text now looks a bit messy, this is because the text remains in the default positions based on the shape of the stand being a SQUARE. This is a limitation of the software not knowing how to position the text for other types of shapes.

To tidy the text, simply click on the Blue nodes attached to the text and move it into a new postion as I have done below. You may want to turn the Grid OFF before doing this.
