Copying stands using 'Nodes'

This function will allow you to copy and paste stands but with these limitations:

The main benefit of this copy method is that you can select a Node to use as a base point.

There are 2 other copy methods with different options and limitations:

1

First of all, we recommend using the grid when copying stands, please see here about using the grid.

2

Select the stand(s) you would like to copy, you should see Red nodes appear on the corners of the stands as shown below.

If the corner nodes are Blue, press the Space bar on your keyboard to toggle them back to Red nodes.

2

Now select any of the Red nodes to use as your Base point. Choose this wisely to make it easier to position the copied stands. You can always press ESC (Escape) and re-select the Node if required.

You are now in 'move' mode. While you are in this mode, press and hold 'CTRL' on your keyboard to put it into 'Copy' mode.

Now move your mouse/stands into the position you want them and press your mouse button again. Now either make additional copies of your stand by just clicking where you want them, or you can now release the CTRL key to finish copying.

See end result on 2nd image below where the limitations have been applied.
