Go to SETTINGS > Reset Layout as highlighted below.
This will restore the following items: (Please see here for an overview of the screen elements).
The Properties explorer (Right of screen)
The Stand List (Left of screen)
The Symbols Panel (Left of screen)
The Command Window (Bottom of screen)

If your ribbon menu icons are missing and only showing the text, double-click your mouse on the ribbon menu area shown below and this will restore the full menu.

If the above is not working, as a last resort you can delete the EFD settings file to reset everything back to the default.
Make sure EFD is closed before deleting the settings file.
Navigate to this folder - C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Event Floorplans Limited\Event Floorplan Designer V5
Delete this file - EFDV5_Settings.xml
Restart EFD.
Close EFD again.
Restart EFD. It is important that EFD is restared twice.
Your menus should now be back to the default settings.
Because you have deleted the Settings file, all of the paths in System Settings have also reset, so if you have changed these you need to change them back again to what you need.
