Changelog 2016

Version 3.5.47 - 15th August 2016

Version 3.5.43 - 9th August 2016

  • New Feature - A new Stand Numbering method has been added which allows you to to draw a line through the stands you want numbered, making numbering plans from scratch even easier and faster. Simply start drawing a line from the first stand and then continue through to the last stand, the numbers are then added automatically based on the increment you set. Note: This new Trace method has been made the default, see screenshot below.
  • Improvement - You can now add a Venue Supplied Figure into the Hall Boundary/Gross Area function. This is useful if you need to use the gross area figure specified by the venue, rather than the one that is auto-calculated.
  • Improvement - The Hide Selected Layers and Lock Selected Layers dialog boxes have been updated so that you can now select multiple Views in the list using CTRL or SHIFT on your keyboard.
  • Improvement - The Pen/Colour dialog box has changed making it easier to select colours, it now matches the colour selection as seen in other places in the software.
  • Change - The External Reference function () on the Insert > Objects menu has moved to the Insert > Import menu and has been renamed to 'Insert DWG', it also has a new icon - . Because of this change, the DWG Import function has been removed from the FILE menu. This method of inserting a DWG is a much simpler way than the previous FILE > Import DWG method. CLick here for help on Inserting a DWG.

Version 3.5.38 - 24th March 2016

IMPORTANT : To upgrade to this version of the software you will need to un-install your current version and then download the software from here. This is due to a change made to the auto-update system which will work as normal after this version.

  • New Feature - You can now export the Time Log (if in use) automatically when you close your drawing. You can also specify whether this log is uploaded via FTP or not.

  • Improvement - For advanced users and complex floorplans - If you have multiple Gross Areas/Hall Boundaries on top of each other for whatever reason, you can now select multiple stands and change what gross area they are in by using the Properties Explorer. Additionally, if stands are on top of each other and in different gross areas, the Overlapping Stand detection function ignores those stands, which is essential for when calculating the detailed meterage report because otherwise it would not normally allow you to do this.

Version 3.5.23 - 1st February 2016

  • New Feature - You can now stop layers from exporting to a PDF. This has 2 advantages:
    • The display order of objects matches what you see on screen in EFD. When layers are included in the PDF, the layer order determines the display order which can sometimes give undesired results. Display order means if an object is shown on top of or underneath another object. Note: Stands and Zones cannot be forced to be on top of other objects.
    • The size of the PDF will be slightly smaller.
    • This new setting can be found in the PDF Settings tab when editing a View. It is called 'Include Layers' tick or untick.
  • New Feature - Shell Scheme components are now calculated per hall. A list of components for each hall is now shown on the first page of the Shell Scheme Component PDF along with a combined list as before.
  • New Feature [Email Notifier] - This new feature sends an automated email to specified people, notifying them that your floorplan has been updated. In the next update you will be able to attach files.
  • Improvement - [Stand Type Keys]
    • You can now add a title to a Stand Type Key.
    • You can now show the quantity of stands per stand type.
    • You can now change the shape of the coloured box and also adjust the width and height of the shape.
  • Improvement - [Views]
    • When editing a View, the layers section now shows the colour of the layer to help with finding the layer you are looking for.
    • The Edit View dialog box is now stretchable. This is particularly helpful when looking at the Layers section which contains long layer names.
  • Improvement - The speed of exporting PDFs, DWGs and Image files is now more than 3 x faster, i.e. if exporting all of your views to files took 3 minutes, they will now take less than 1 minute.
  • Improvement - A 'Test' button has been added to the Mail Settings dialog so you can quickly check you have entered the correct settings.
  • Improvement - The Shell Scheme Component Calculator now works on blocks of stands that have been rotated. Please note that the Grid on each of the Block Plan PDF pages does not currently rotate.
  • Bug Fix - If your Exhibition Name in Drawing Properties was longer than 64 characters an error occurred while uploading using FTP, this has now been fixed.
