Export Stand PDFs

'Export Stand PDFs' automatically creates PDFs of individual stands to save you creating them manually. This can be a huge timesaver, especially on large plans where you need to create hundreds of individual stand PDFs for sending to clients.

NOTE: Pillar dimensions must be added manually by following these instructions.

Export Stand PDFs

1

This function has been designed to work with a PDF template so, before continuing, please download this template which is editable in EFD.

2

Open the template you just downloaded and you will see the below on your screen:

The left hand square panel is where the stand layouts will be placed automatically, do not put anything in this panel.

The right hand panel is where you can add any information you want such as the show name/logo, technical information etc.

3

Once you have adjusted the template to your liking you now need to create a PDF of it. To do this, click on the the word 'View' located at the bottom of your screen, the Manage Views dialog box will appear. Select the 'Stand Template' View then click the PDF button.

A dialog will now appear asking where you want to save the PDF, select a convenient location then click Save. Another dialog will now appear asking if you want to add security, select the relevant options then click OK, your PDF has now been created. You can go to where you saved it and load the PDF to check it looks ok.

4

You can now close and save the above template.

Now open the floorplan in EFD that you want to use to create individual stand PDFs.

5

Before using this function you must have at least one View created in your floorplan, if you need help with creating Views click here.

You must also make sure that all the stands have unique stand numbers. You can check that there are no duplicates by using the Inspect Floorplan function.

Now click the 'Export Stand PDFs' button  which is located on the HOME ribbon.

3

The below dialog box will now appear with the following options:

View : Click this option and select the View you would like to use as the first page of your PDF. The information on this view will also be shown on the stand layout, e.g. if you select a view which shows all the service ducts, then the service ducts will show on the stand layout.

Template : Click this option and select the PDF template you saved in the above steps. If you do not select a template the PDFs may not look as expected.

Stand(s) to Export :

NOTE: If you have selected ALL stands, this may take a while to create all the PDFs depending on the speed of your computer and the amount of stands to be created.

Once you have set the relevant options click OK. Your PDFs will now be created and saved in your main floorplan folder unless you have specified another folder in the System Settings.
